I noticed the screenshot is missing a trigger, but it’s a ‘Recurrence’ trigger as in all reminder flows. string(item()?)įrom that point on you can continue with the original flow – build an HTML table and send the email. The easiest way is to convert the array into a string with the string(…) expression, which will allow you to use the ‘contains’ operator. You must check the whole array of objects if one of them contains the email address. Therefore, you can’t simply filter by the user email. As already said, the people picker column in each item will contain an array of users. The other difference from the original flow is in the ‘Filter array’ action. union(variables('var_emailsArray'),variables('var_emailsArray')) Filter the items for each user Process it with the union(…) expression to keep only the unique values = unique emails. Note: my column is called ‘SendTo’, your column will have most probably a different name.Īt the end of the loop you’ll have a variable that’ll contain all the email addresses as separate items. And in that loop place the ‘Append to array variable’ to store their email address. In that loop add another ‘Apply to each’ to loop through users in the people picker field. Once you initialise the variable, add ‘Apply to each’ to loop through all the items provided by the ‘Get items’. In that variable you’ll store each email separately. You’ll have to use a less efficient way with double loops.īut first, initialise a new array variable, e.g. And as such you can’t get the email addresses as easily using the ‘Select’ action. It won’t be an object with the user anymore, now it’ll be an array of objects (=users). Once you switch the people picker column to multiple selection, its structure will change. “Is there a way in Power Automate to split emails from a multiple people picker field to have a single email per user for all of the items in which they are included as an owner?”įollowing a question from the original article to Send one email per user with multiple SharePoint items, what if the column is not a single people picker? What if the column allows selection of multiple users? If you have more than 1 user assigned per item? You probably still want to send only one email per user, even if they share the item with others.

The Mapogo lions were a unique coalition as they had a tendency to kill any other lions they encountered. These social dynamics can affect the behavior of other species in the ecosystem and help to maintain the balance of the food chain.īelow, we’ll list some of Southern Africa’s most infamous prides and where they are today. They form intricate social structures, with females typically doing the majority of the hunting and males defending the territory from other predators and rival prides. Lion prides also play a social role in their ecosystem. This has a cascading effect on the vegetation, soil quality, and other species in the ecosystem. They target prey species such as antelopes, zebras, and buffaloes, which helps to control their population sizes and prevent overgrazing. One of the primary ways in which lion prides impact an ecosystem is through their hunting behavior. Lions also serve as indicators of the health of an ecosystem, as changes in their population size or behavior can indicate broader changes in the ecosystem. As apex predators, they help to regulate the population of other species, which in turn affects the entire food chain. Ice Age Mammals of North America: A Guide to the Big, the Hairy, and the Bizarre. "American Lion, Panthera atrox." San Diego Zoo Global. Whatever the cause, the reign of the lions in North America ended with the ice age. Their demise may have been due to human actions, climate change, or both. However, around 10,000 years ago, they went extinct, alongside many other ice age animals. American lions roamed across North America for thousands of years. Today, we find their fossilized footprints left on Alkali Flat, the remains of ancient lake Otero. With this range, American lions likely made it to the Tularosa Basin in New Mexico, which is today home to White Sands National Park.īefore the sand dunes of White Sands formed, many of the animals the American lion hunted lived along the freshwater shores of Lake Otero. Fossils have been found from Canada to as far south as Chiapas, Mexico. Regardless, the American lion was very successful. Scientists do not yet know if the American lion hunted by itself or in groups. American lions hunted other ice age animals including camelids, giant ground sloths, bison, and even young mammoths. The speed and the bulk of these animals helped them catch large prey. They had long, slender legs that allowed them to reach speeds of 30 miles per hour! The average American lion was very strong and bulky, weighing about 500 pounds! Despite their weight, these big cats were very fast. Standing four feet tall at the shoulder and eight feet long, the American lion is slightly bigger than today’s African lion. Recent genetic testing suggests that American lions evolved from Eurasian cave lions that crossed the Beringia land bridge into North America. You have probably heard of African lions, but did you know lions once lived around the world? During the last ice age, lions lived in Africa, Europe, Asia, and North America, giving them one of the largest ranges of any mammal! When your dog’s calm behavior is consistently reinforced by moving the other dog away, your dog learns to behave calmly in the presence of other dogs – and eventually no longer feels the need to try to make them go away.Ī reverse CAT procedure is used for frustrated greeters: calm behavior makes the other dog come closer.įor more information about CAT, see “ Constructional Aggression Treatment Can Improve Behavior,” WDJ December 2009. This shows your dog that a calm, non-aggressive behavior can make the unwanted dog go away. The dog with aggressive behavior is exposed to another dog/handler pair at a sub-threshold distance, and any calm choices he makes (turning away, looking at his handler, looking at the other dog calmly, etc.) are reinforced by having the other dog/handler pair move away. This is a more complicated protocol than CC&D, because you need the help of another person and dog, but it can be very effective. Constructional Aggression Treatment (CAT).Be patient, this modification protocol takes time! Working at a sub-threshold distance (where your dog is aware of the presence of the other dog but not barking, lunging, or otherwise acting aggressive), each time your dog looks at the other dog, you feed him a very high-value treat to convince him that other dogs make treats happen (see sidebar). This is my favorite protocol for all three types of on-leash aggression, as it changes your dog’s association with the stimulus (the other dog) that is creating an undesirable emotional response. Counter-Conditioning and Desensitization (CC&D).How to Modify On-Leash AggressionĪll of the following protocols can be utilized with each of the three types of on-leash aggression described above. Fortunately, it’s also the least common of the three types of leash-aggressive dogs. While the other two types of leash-aggressive dogs are often compatible with other dogs when not on their leashes, the offensively aggressive dog is generally just as much of a threat off leash as on leash. This behavior can appear even in a young puppy and can be the most challenging to manage and modify of the three types of on-leash aggression. Sadly, some dogs truly don’t like other dogs and look for opportunities to attack them. Because he knows he can move away and doesn’t feel trapped by the leash, he is less stressed about the encounter, and less likely to feel the need to aggress. Behaviors that are reinforced generally increase, so the intensity of his aggressive behavior escalates over time.Īs with frustrated greeters, this behavior is less likely to occur when the defensive dog is off leash, especially with a socially appropriate dog who respects his “go slow” signals. When other dogs leave a barking, lunging dog alone in response to his “go away” message, the behavior is reinforced, and he’s convinced this is a successful survival strategy. Puppies may shut down at first when approached by other dogs, but as dogs mature and gain confidence, they may start to offer “distance increasing behaviors” including growls, barks, and lunges toward other dogs. This occurs with a dog who is mildly to significantly fearful of other dogs and feels threatened and trapped when he is on leash and approached by others. I recommend that you allow your friendly dog to interact with others only when the dogs are off-leash and in appropriate, safely enclosed areas. To avoid leash frustration, prevent the development of frustration-causing expectations by never allowing on-leash greetings. You’ll do better to manage and/or modify your dog’s arousal so he is reasonably calm before allowing dog-dog interactions. But be careful! Other dogs may take offense at your dog’s level of arousal and respond with defensive aggression. While frustration reactivity looks seriously aggressive, in many cases, the frustrated greeter is socially appropriate if allowed to interact with other dogs off-leash. Reactivity is defined as an abnormal level of arousal in response to a normal stimulus. His resulting frustration may cause him to become reactive. This can happen with even a very confident, friendly, social dog who is accustomed to greeting other canines he meets while on leash but is prevented from doing so. |
